The Capitol Visitor Center offers online programming on select Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

The Debates of the Constitutional Convention of 1787. Spend 60 minutes with a U.S. Capitol Visitor Center educator analyzing the plans, debates and compromises forged during the creation of the U.S. government. Students roleplay as delegates at the 1787 convention and vote for plans considered for the Constitution. This program is available for middle and high school students.

Vote! Your students can experience what it’s like to be a member of Congress. Spend 60 minutes with a U.S. Capitol Visitor Center educator for a live simulation where students examine both sides of an issue, take a stand, vote on the issue, and then discuss the impact with classmates. The issue is based on historical legislation considered and voted on in Congress. You’ll learn the real outcome at the end of the program. This program is available for middle and high school students.
