West End of Brumidi Corridors
Constantino Brumidi designed and painted the corridors on the first floor of the new Senate wing between 1857 and 1859, and returned to paint frescoes on lunettes into the 1870s. This north entry fresco depicts Bellona, the Roman goddess of war, above the doorway of the then Committee on Military Affairs meeting room.
